Codes and Conventions

• Current affairs montage title sequence, sometimes animated.
• Upbeat music, fast-pace and loud soundtrack.
• Contestants are sat around a panel which can be easily seen to represent two teams.
• Can hear audience clapping and cheering before you seen them.
• Set is backlit, at least start with, the name of the program is on the set behind them.
• Camera zooms over audience to host and then pans or cuts to contestants as they are introduced.
• There are lots of cameras filming the show and there are many different angles.
